Cameroon’s robusta coffee prices rose 3 percent during the week to Dec. 6, according to statistics from the Cocoa and Coffee Board.
The average export price increased to 834 CFA francs ($1.70) a kilogram (2.2 pounds) from 812 francs a week earlier, the board said in an e-mailed statement from the port city of Douala.
Farmgate prices climbed 11 percent to 300 francs a kilogram, Waindim Timothy, administration and personnel manager of the North West Cooperative Association, said in a separate e- mail from Bamenda, 400 kilometers (250 miles) northwest of Yaounde.
