Cotton farms hit by flood in Queensland

2008trip.1241281680.cotton-tree-1[1]QUEENSLAND (Commodity Online): Floods has caused widespread damages to cotton crops in the central and southern parts of Queensland.
Cotton crops along the Comet River east of Emerald in central Queensland have been inundated.
Farmers there have said that it’s the highest flood affected their farm land over many years, and it has almost swamped their cotton.
"It's been roaring through the farms for a couple of days, probably peaked on Saturday," a farmer quoted saying.
Across the farms there, probably 700 to 800 hectares of crop is under water for the last two days.
