Medium sugar declines on good supply

Mumbai, Mar 15 (PTI) Medium sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on sustained stockists offering amidst good supplies from the mills.


Meanwhile, small sugar variety showed a mixed pattern of trading on alternate bouts of buying and selling.


Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 2,820/ 2,901 from overnight closing level of Rs 2,826/2901.


Small sugar quality (S-30) were quoted at Rs 2,790/2,831 as against Rs 2,786/2,835 yesterday.


The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, with the previous rates in brackets:


Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,790/2,831 (Rs 2,786/ 2,835) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,820/2,901 (Rs 2,826/2,901).
