New Delhi, Apr 7 (PTI) Rice basmati prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on increased demand against restricted arrivals.
Bajra and maize also moved up on rising industrial demand.
Traders said increased demand against limited arrivals mainly helped rice basmati prices to strengthen.
Increased industrial demand pushed up bajra and maize prices, they added.
In the national capital, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety rose further by Rs 100 to Rs 4,400-5,400 per quintal.
Bajra and maize remained in industrial demand. While bajra gained Rs 20 to Rs 950-960 per quintal, maize rose by Rs 30 to Rs 1,320-1,330 per quintal, respectively.
