Select cotton prices up

Mumbai, May 21: Select cotton prices rose today on good demand from industrial users, traders at the Cotton Association of India (CAI) said.

Cotton varieties like Bengal Desi (RG) and Bengal Desi (SG), each advanced by Rs 500 per candy owing to sustained demand from local dealers.
While, NHH-4 fell by Rs 1500 per candy, Karnataka Jayadhar rose by Rs 1000, traders added.
Following are the cotton rates per candy (335.62 kg) in Rupees Bengal Desi (RG) Rs.44,200 Bengal Desi (SG) Rs.44,700 V-797 Rs.26,000 Karnataka Jayadhar Rs.32,000 Y-1 NT Punjab-J-34 Rs.43,300 NHH-4 Rs.31,500 LRA Rs.33,000 H-4 Rs.40,500 S-6-A Rs.46,500 Bunny Brahma Rs.47,000 MCU-5 Rs.55,500 DCH Rs.55,500 ICC Rs.72,000
