Cameroon December-March Robusta Coffee Exports 13,019 Tons -CCIB

Cameroon exported 13,019 metric tons of robusta coffee between December and March, the first four months of the 2010-2011 season, slightly down from 13,727 tons shipped during the same period last season, statistics published Tuesday by the country's industrial Cocoa and Coffee Inter-professional Board show.

The data indicate that 5,741 tons were shipped out of the country in March, against 5,922 tons in March the previous season.

The country exported 44,966 tons of robusta in 2009-2010, up from 29,350 tons in the previous season.

Robusta output in the 2008-2009 season was 30,044 tons, according to government and industrial data.

Cameroon's official robusta season runs from December to November.
