Azerbaijan reduces cotton export by 85.9%

The cotton export from the country in ten months made up 0.01% of the overall export of Azerbaijan.

In January-October of 2010 Azerbaijan exported 2,224.4 tons of raw cotton in the amount of $2,498,000 , according to sources in the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
The cotton export has decreased by 85.9% over the same period of the last year. The cotton export from the country in ten months made up 0.01% of the overall export of Azerbaijan.
In 2009 the country exported 17,371.6 tons of cotton in the amount of $17,358,500 which is 119.27% of the export of this production in 2008. Last year the cotton export from the country made up 0.12% of the overall export of Azerbaijan.
