U.S. Corn Planting in 2011 Will Climb to Four-Year High, Informa Predicts

PhotoU.S. corn planting will rise to 93.055 million acres next year, compared with 88.222 million that the government estimated was sown in 2010, Memphis, Tennessee-based researcher Informa Economics Inc. said today in a report to clients. Planting next year will be the highest since 2007, Informa said. In September, Informa forecast farmers would plant 90.39 million next year.
